Do you KNOW?

Do you KNOW - as in, really know? Do you feel as though you can perceive the nature of all things as far as can be envisioned using your human mind? I'd like to think I can see a good bit of truth, although I do keep in mind I don't know anything... Ultimately, no one does. To KNOW involves being as conscious as one can be. This involves taking in as much information about your surroundings as you can and reflecting upon it, over and over again. Consciousness is both a blessing and a curse, all at once. Take, for example, driving a car and knowing you are running over a good number of insects and/or other small, seemingly "unimportant" lifeforms. For many, it is not what they intend - it is not their will to do so - yet if one were turned on to this realization, they would see it is literally impossible to live your life without taking the life of other lifeforms. It is simply just the cycle of life, as cliche as that statement may be. No one can truly judge what is important and what is not, for ultimately everything feeds the collective whole, which in turn, drives the collective wheel of existence (no pun intended?). Certain things may seem more important through logical deduction and prior experience, but these things are limited to the human psyche. An argument can be made that the human brain is the most complex machine in the known universe, but what does that make the universe itself? A container of the container? It's turtles all the way down... I digress; it is also my belief that everyone is selfish, whether they know it or not. In this "argument", I will use the example of wanting world peace, for it is a common wish among many humans. Surely, world peace would be a Utopian dream-come-true, but would it ultimately not be at least somewhat selfish? It would bring about self-comfort and lack of worry, among other self-righteous qualities. Observe, reflect and re-reflect, for it is all we can do.

Oh, this life.

For those interested in spirituality: may we find solace in the fact that everything is interconnected, and we are all literally divine. Me, you, the plastic bezel around your monitor, the plastic bag lining your trash cans, the leaf on the floor outside of your doorsteps, the turn signal handle in your car, the Sun, the stars and infinity beyond. That's right, we are literally a part of God, whether you picture him as the Sun, the bearded white patriarch in the clouds or a particular Hindu deity's manifestation at any given time - we are one. It's as simple as that. I am right. Pardon me for sounding snug or conceited, but it's just that I when I think about that concept, I feel so passionately connected with the Truth, it's hard to not feel like you're being flooded with divinity. Every passing day I feel like I am a part of something so complex, it literally crosses the border of what my mind can compute and enters the area of my mind that is responsible for communicating feelings of ridiculousness. No human being can fully comprehend infinity, let alone the true concept of God, which not only encompasses infinity's existence, but also happens to be responsible for the possibility AND consequence of its coming-to-be.

Do you feel me? Has your mind been in the same realms as my mine during the time you've been reading this? I hope so. You may very well be enlightened if you can grasp and connect what I am saying. You don't even have to agree with me - there are many roads to enlightenment. My particular views and opinions are a small capillary of a vast array of possible roads leading to the grand truth. Stop, observe, take it in, think, let go. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up...
